The Day Mother Nature Shook My World

So, last night I was sleeping like a baby for a change and woke to hear a mac truck coming through my house. This of course woke me up, and I realized no truck in my house, but lots of wind and rain. So, I closed my eyes and went back to sleep. I woke up to the smell of coffee brewing with my new coffee machine from Santa, I looked in the back yard and saw this....
One section of our fence decided it was tired, so it laid down with the help of Mother Nature. Now don't get me wrong, I love Mother Nature, but sometimes she just shows herself at the most inopportune time. But a very nice gentleman that looks like Mike Holmes came by, cut it down, and supported the other side, and said he'd be back next week to fix it all up. That makes me happy.

Now, I have actually done this post twice now, the first time as I was about to save it, the power went out. Thank you mother nature.

I am very excited that the new year is coming up as our new catalogues come out on January 18th, and if you want a catalogue you can order one from me at kromyn@rogers.com or you can call me at 519-639-0573 they are $10 each. As well if you would like to book a workshop for after the 18th and take advantage of Hostess benefits you can contact me by those two ways.
I'm not sure I've told people, but if you ever wanted to order something and not have a party you can always call me, email me, or even go to http://kromyn.stampinup.net/ and you can place an order from my website as well.

Have a great New Year everyone, and watch out for Mother Nature, she's on the rampage!!

Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone in Blog Land.

Sorry I've been so quiet lately. I've got no excuses except that I have not much new to say. I've recently made my friends wedding programs, name plates, and table numbers, and to my excitement she just asked me to make her thank you cards. I'm super excited. I'll post a picture of them once they're all done.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone, and don't forget that the new catalogue is coming on January 18th, if you want a new catalogue you can pay me in advance 10 for the catalogue, or you can host a party, get free stuff, and get a catalogue.

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year.

Up and Coming

So, it's been a while since I've put words into the blog, so I figured I would do an update with everyone out there that might read this.

So, my pup is a star, incase you didn't see it on my facebook if you go to http://www.snaplondonnorth.com/ and then click on Current Edition, and scroll down and click on Dogs in the Hood you will see some gorgeous dogs, then you'll see the cutest ever named TITO of course. We were at the park in September I think with my sister Mehgan, and her daughter Jordyn. This nice lady asked if she could take Tito's picture, showed me her creditentials and snapped away. He of course hates the camera, but this was a good picture.

Now an update on my Stampin Up business, its slow I'll be honest, but that's my fault. I'm not advertising myself out there. I could be doing so much in my neighbourhood, but I just don't. I'm not sure why, maybe fear of having customers. Sounds strange, but it's true. So, I'm going to challenge myself to put up two flyers in the neighbourhood on the mail boxes and see if that works at all.

As for Christmas that is fast approaching. If anyone wants to buy handmade cards or make any hand made cards for christmas please contact me. Here is a sample of the ones I'm currently selling. There are 12 cards for $25. You also get the envelopes with the cards. That way you don't need to find any. If you're interested please let me know. I would be happy to have them ready for your christmas card giving.
I'll keep you updated on a more regular basis. Thanks for visiting.

Stamp a Stack Success

Well, I had my very first Stamp a Stack and I would like to thank my sister Mehgan, my friend Tracy, and Lu Anne for coming to it. We were missing a few people, but it turned out to be a very nice intimate gathering of stamping. I'm sorry for all of you that couldn't make it, but if you wanted the 12 cards that we made you can still purchase them from me for the original $25. Just let me know.

As well if any of you out there in the blog world would like the 12 cards I made for $25 as well please just contact me, I would be more than happy to do that for you.

Here is what we made: the red one is my favourite and it was originally created by Alesha Walls, and thankfully she allowed me to reproduce it, I did it on it's side as well as standing upright, and both looked great. The green one is a fun one with the stamp set called Wishing you Cheer, and of course the blue one is with the Snow burst set. I had a blast, and I'm very thankfull for all of you that came.

I forgot to add a picture of Spider Dog from halloween, but trust me, he's adorable. I am thinking of having another stamp a stack maybe on Sunday Nov. 16th. If anyone is interested it will be $25 for 12 cards, 3 different designs, and 4 of each. I'll be doing a different design than these ones, maybe the same sets though as I really love them. It will be a pre paid event so if you are interested please contact me at kromyn@rogers.com thanks.

When it rains it snows!!

Well we got our first snow fall last night. It was kind of cool, and then Tito thought he had died and gone to heaven, I forgot how much he loves the snow. My little dog is a winter puppy he was born in November. Anyway, I was off today and went to my basement to do laundry and there was lots and lots of water in my basement because of a hose that is leaking all over the basement. So what did I do, cry first, then call my dad, then call my furnace guy, what an angel. He turned off the valve and then told me to call a plumber. I called Reliance and they told me that because it's coming from a pipe, it's not their responsibility. So I've called Mr. Rooter, and I'm waiting for them to show up. So, what do you do when you're waiting....

You Stamp of course. I made this card for a friend of ours who gave me the number for the furnace guy. It's gorgeous if I may so myself. I used the silver embossing powder, perfect plum cs, pale plum, and the eastern bloom set. I vanilla grosgrain ribbon, and did a black scallop edge. The words are from one of the hostess sets, which I can't get enough of. Let me know what you think. Today I'm finishing the example cards we'll be making for the Stamp a Stack this weekend. I'll post them after the day.

Rainbow Sherbert

I made some thank you cards for the ladies that came to my friend Jacquie's workshop, and I wasn't sure what to do, so I looked at my huge selection of stuff, and wasn't sure what to do, so I decided to use the DS paper Rainbow Sherbert, and LOVED the results I came up with. Tell me what you think. If you see this card on your doorstep one day it's from me, surprise!!

Later I'll post my workspace so you can see where I create all these beautiful works of art. And to think they gave me a C in my grade 8 art class. hahahaha.

Newest picture of my boy

So, the other day Tito was getting into my towels, so I took this picture. He is sooo cute and sweet looking that I just had to share it with everyone. Now you can all share in my cute Tito. I'm working on a scrap booking page with Blush Blossom and I'm hoping it will work out ok. I'm just searching for the appropriate pictures. It's a colour that is very under used, at least by me. I'll keep you all posted.

Okay, so I finished the scrapbook layout with the Blushed Blossom, let me know what you think. I kind of like it and I'm shocked that I had pictures that complimented the colour. The DS paper I used was Rainbow Sherbert, and the complimenting colours were Glorious Green, and Brilliant
Blue. I think it turned out pretty ok.

It's been a while sorry

I know that right now I'm the only one accessing my blog, but that's okay because I haven't had much to say. Well, I'll make up for that right now.

I have had a very exciting couple of months. I've had a great workshop with friends and their family from my home town of Tillsonburg, well actually it was in Otterville at Jacquie's house, but it's close enough to home. Most of the people at her workshop are avid scrapbookers, so I introduced them to card making. I did a very easy to make card, which I'll be reproducing at my very first Stamp a Stack for Christmas on Sunday November 2nd but this time with a bit of silver embossing. The stamp set is the Snow Burst, with Night of Navy Card stock for the card, then Blue Brocade for the second layer, then whisper white, and the ink I used was Not Quite Navy, and Brilliant Blue, with a bit of Silver Embossing for the smaller ones. The word stamp came from the All Holidays stamp set. Very easy to replicate.

I was asked to start a Scrapbooking club as well, so I'll be sending out the blog address to all my friends. If you're interested in joining, I'll have 10 spots in total, and we'll get together once a month for 10 months, and each person gets to be the hostess once a month, as well you are required to make a 20 dollar order to be in the club. This also covers the cost of the supplies which I will provide.

Let me know if you're interested, and I'll get it started.

New to Blogging

Good day everyone out there in blog world. I was told I should really start up a website, so that I can share my creativity with others. Well, I'm not sure how all of this works, so I'll do the best that I can.

A little about me first. I am a very happy mother of a very active almost two year old shi tzu named Tito. You'll see lots of pictures of him along the way. He is my life. I don't know how I survived without him. This is I'm sure how most parents feel.

Anyway, I'm a new demonstrator with Stampin Up, but I've been scrapbooking for eons, or at least that's what it feels like. My friend Alesha who has a great website A little Scrapbook Therapy got me addicted to the line of Stampin Up products a few years ago, and I've been slowly learning the art of card making, and how to enhance my scrap book pages that I've already been doing.

WOW was I ever shocked at how easy it was to just make something pop with a few embellisments, and a little bit of colour. Now I just can't get enough.

My venture with the world of creativity has recently been making wedding programs, seating name plates, table numbers and being a good listener. I hope one day to do it full time, but for now, I do it on the side, and if someone likes what I can do for them cool. I'll put up pictures from time to time on the things I've created on my own, and as well since I am a Demonstrator with Stampin Up if you ever wanted anything to order just contact me through my email address.

Thanks for visiting, I do appreciate anyones opinions, and suggestions on how to maximize my website. Being that I'm green in this I hope to learn lots.
