My they grow up fast

My niece's 4th birthday was last week, and boy has she ever grown. I used the MDS to capture some of the day. I found that she doesn't quite understand how the birthday party is suppose to go, and she opens the gifts, but doesn't seem super happy about them. She makes me giggle all the time though. She had a lot of fun with her Uncle Derek, and that made me happy.
Jordyn got a great toy called Tag, I was going to get that for her for Christmas, but good ole Aunt Stacy beat me to it. That's fine by me, I'll buy her the books that go with it.
I can't believe how much my little girl has changed. I know growing up is a good thing, but I'm not sure I'm ready to lose my little girl yet.
Thanks all for stopping by.

Missing the Summer time

I have been enjoying the beautiful weather we've been so lucky to experience these last few days, and it made me miss the summer time. This is one of my favourite days as always, it's spent with my sister and niece, and we can't forget Tito. In this digital scrapbook page I used Bashful Blue background, then used the Textured Background stamp, I changed the opacity to very low. The stamp sets are All in the Family, and Enjoy Life.

I love my niece so much, that any time I get to spend with her, is a great day. I have to thank Mehgan for bringing us all to the beach that day. It was great.

Happy Halloween

I made this digital page from pictures of my garage on Halloween. I wish my flash had been turned off so you could see it better. I have been playing around with it to see how to use it better, and I think I'm getting the hang of it. Apparently it's a bit harder when you don't do all the courses through Stampin Up. I guess I'll have to do those. You have to export as a jpeg before you can post it.
So, let me know what you think. I try to get better each time. I used real red background, then did a textured stamp design. I used a stamp set that has escaped me. Sorry it's 11pm, and I'm tired. I'll update tomorrow.

First Digital Scrapbook page ever!

Well, here it is. I hope it looks okay. If anyone knows how to use digital studio for Stampin Up please give me tips and I'll heart you forever.

I used Certainly Celery for the background 12x12
I used a textured background stamp in Basic Black ink
The stamps are from a retired set called Mans Best Friend ( i think that's right)
I was able to journal right on the page I used comic sans one of my favourite, I wish Stampin Up! would make it into a stamp set. I'd buy it for sure.
Now, it was hard to do, because I'm so use to having all my card stock in hand, and my pictures and all my stamp sets, so I'm use to being able to have it all in front of me. The MDS (my digital studio) has you going into different tabs, and clicking on different stamp sets, but you can only load one set at a time, that's frustrating at first, but I'm sure with practice the pages will get better.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on my first go at it.

Procrastination is my name!!

Where do I begin? Well, monday night we had our Quarterly meeting for the Stampin Up demonstrators in London. We were allowed to bring guests with us, so my friend from work Anne came along. We got to learn a few new things, and do a make and take, which I love, and have the directions to recreate.

The best part though was if we brought in food for the food bank we would get a raffle ticket to win the new Stampin Up My Digital Studio software for their new line of digital scrapbooking and card making. I honestly didn't think I had a chance in heck, but whatever. I won it!!!!! I could hardly believe it. I unfortunately was too sick on Tuesday or Wednesday to use it. So I was hoping to play with it tonight.

Well, I walked into my scrapbook room and it looked like a hurricane had hit it, it was awful, and cluttered, and there was no room for creativity. So, I started cleaning.

Tito wanted to help. I couldn't disappoint him, so he guarded the back part of the table while I picked up garbage.

I am going to try and make a digital scrapbook page out of this picture, and if I can figure out how to use it, I'll post it on line.

Check back for any update.

Croptoberfest

On Saturday I went to Tillsonburg with one of my bestest friends Jacquie, and her mom, and our friend Jen. We started at 9am, and we scrapbooked our little hearts out. I was only able to complete 4 double layouts, so 8 pages in total. That’s with pictures and journaling completed. It was hosted by a friend of theirs, and it was great to see so many ladies there. There was about 50 of us there. They had lunch for us, which was delicious, and door prizes, and snacks, music, and lots of great conversation.

Let me share with you 3 of the double layouts I made.

This one was made with Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla for the journaling. Summer Sun and then some Designer Paper, which was the Razzleberry Lemonade.

Old Olive, and Autumn Traditions Designer Series paper, as well as the Inspired by Nature stamp set. The frog is an actual picture we took in Cuba.

This was a very basic page, I used Very Vanilla for the 12x12, then I took the flower petals from my dinner and put them on with adhesive, I should have used sticky strip as they are starting to fall off. There is also Real Red for the photo mats, and then I sponged the edges of the page.

So, there you have it, 3 different double layouts, with 3 completely different designs, and feel. I hope that you enjoyed them, as much as I enjoyed making them.
If you’re interested in joining my Scrapbooking Club the next one will be starting in November. There only needs to be 8 people.

Classes at Western Fair

Hello fellow creative minds.

I am so excited about the fair. I know I've said it before, but it's so true. I'm excited for a few reasons. One I'll get to meet new people and customers. That's always a benefit, and I'll get to teach classes to people I've never met before, and maybe someone who's never made a card or a scrapbook page, and now they're hooked.

There are a few demonstrators that will be doing the classes. There's me of course, and Alesha my upline "boss" as well as Dani, Caitlyn, Loretta ( a new demo who rocks!!), and maybe Catherine.

So we took some pictures of some of the class projects we'll be doing. I'm very excited about the classes, and love the cards that the ladies have designed. I'm sure you will too.

This beautiful card will be made by Me on Monday Sept 14th at 5pm. If you want to know how to make this card, and actually do it with assistance be at the fair, and about 10 minutes before the class you'll be able to get a ticket. There are only 12 tickets per class. If you miss out on it, I'm sure we'll have a sign up sheet so that you can request a class at your home. Why not make it a work shop and invite friends over too, if it's a workshop we'll make more than one card, and you could earn free merchandise as well as hostess benefits.

This gorgeous card will be made by Dani, I believe on Friday Sept 18th at 12pm. It is more beautiful in person. I highly recommend this class as well.

So, here's two samples of the types of cards you'll be making. We're trying to give a variety of techniques, and colours, and birthday cards, to christmas cards, to thank you cards. Plus there will be 2 classes on scrapbook pages. I'll be doing a winter one, and Caitlyn will be doing a Halloween one. Check out the new site at http://stampinlondon.blogspot.com for a full schedule, as well it's on here. Can't wait to see you all at the fair.

Saturday Scrappin with the Girls

So, once a month I get together with some very dear friends of mine. In fact they are all like my family. We've known each other for more than 20 years. Yes I'm old. In fact I've know the one family for more than 30 years. Ouch! Anyway my point is this.... everyone who scrapbooks always says the same thing "I never have time". You have to make time. If we don't sit down and pick the next Saturday we'll meet we won't get it done. It's important for us to get together as women, and talk and laugh, and scrap whether we're sorting out the pictures we have, reliving memories we've shared or actually completing a few pages, it's time worth while, and well spent.

It's important to rejuvenate your spirit, for me that's through scrapbooking and sharing my passion with my friends. I really want to start a scrapbooking club, I know I have at least two people interested, but I need 8 in total. I'm hoping you'll be one of the 8. Contact me at kromyn@rogers.com to let me know if you're interested. The committment is 8 months, you must make an order of at least 20 dollars a month. You will be given one of the months as your own Hostess month where you'll earn a FREE Hostess Stamp Set, and FREE merchandise. You attend a class at my home with the other participants and you make 2 full double scrapbook page layouts.

I hope to hear from you. If I don't, I hope that you find that time to scrapbook, whether it's with me, or your good friends. Have fun, and destress.

New Ideas

Hello all!
Well, my creative juices have definately been flowing lately. I've been getting ready for the Western Fair this year, and I'm very excited to be at the booth this year. As well I'll be teaching classes for FREE!! That's right, you read that, I said free. Once the project schedule is finalized I'll post it on the site of what will be offered and when. If you miss a class, or you don't get a ticket to participate you can sign up at the booth for me or any of the other demos to do the class in your home.

So, let's see what I've created lately. My first creation is for a thank you card. I love it. Hope you do as well.
These cards are made with 2 pieces of paper, whisper white, and basic black. The ink is basic black, and craft white. One is a 5x5 card, one is 31/2 x 5 card, and the other is a regular card size 41/4x51/2. Granted, Stampin Up does not sell envelopes for the very small one. So, this would be hand delivered with no envelope, or if you're not a demonstrator, you could go to different stamp stores to see if they sell that size.
I tried to load up the cards I made last night, but for some reason they aren't loading. Must be the way I saved them to the computer. So tune in soon for the cards that I made last night. They are made with Elegant Eggplant, Almost Amethyst, and Basic Grey, and Whisper White. The stamp set I used was Fifth Avenue Floral, the same as the thank you cards.

Party in the Park in St. Thomas

Well, we partied it up in Pinafore Park on Saturday August 1st. It was a great venue, and there were a lot of other products to look at. There was Stampin Up of course, then, Epicure (which I thought was a skin thing, turns out it's food items lol). There was a rep from Pampered Cheft, Tupperware, a jewellery company, purse company called SheShe, Mona Vie and many more. I just can't remember them all. They also had a demonstration from the Midnight Sun Martial Arts Acamedy from London. That was pretty cool to see.

Overall it was a great time, well except for the wind. Dani, Catherine and I became very good at anticipating when the signs, and demo boards were going to blow over. I think I hurt my back, catching it once.

I do hope we do it again next year. If you've never been to Pinafore Park like myself, you are missing out on a beauty. There's this huge splash pad there too. Not to mention the beautiful trees, and area to walk. Thank you to Heidi who organized the event.

Western Fair

I am so excited to annouce that we will be having a Stampin Up Booth at the Western Fair. The fair runs from Sept 11-20th the last day happens be my 35th, (yes you read that right) birthday. I am so excited to tell you all that Alesha, my upline has invited all of her downline to participate at the booth. Even better, there will be classes every day, I think 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening teaching you and everyone you know about different ways to use the Stampin Up products.

I will be at the booth, hopefully every night after 3pm until it closes. I'll be doing a few classes I'm sure, not sure which ones yet. This is where you come in. What type of class would you like to see? Click on the comment at the bottom and let me know. We need at least 40 classes, so your input is great. If you do make a suggestion and we use it you'll get a surprise. I'll let you know if your idea was used.

I hope to see all of you at the fair. I am so thrilled to be a part of it this year.

Holiday Mini!!

For those of you that have never played or fallen in love with Stampin Up this year the Holiday Mini, is even bigger and better. It will be coming out in August, and I'm not allowed to give a pre-view until it's released, but I can tease you with some of the amazing things that will be in it.

First the Christmas stamps that are coming up, are absolutely beautiful. I'm in awe with some of them. If you're looking for a great snowflake one, we've got one coming. There are cutesy ones for Christmas, and Valentine's day, Halloween, and even new and beautiful ideas for weddings.
Stampin Up is really expanding it's wings with what we can do with paper, and imagination. I for one am looking forward to this Holiday Mini.

If you would like a copy I need to know before July 31st so I can get one mailed directly to you. If you would like one, all I ask is that if you want to order from it, please contact me as your Demonstrator, or if you order online, choose Kristine Romyn as your demonstrator. It only costs me $1.70 to send them to you, but it would be nice to be able to fill that order for you.

There was going to be a Stamp a Stack schedueled for July 31st. No one has approached to sign up. Therefore it has tentatively been cancelled. If I do receive a request from more than one person, I will do the Stamp a Stack.

Stay tuned for more exciting news.

Stamp-A-Stack

Well, I saw a sneak peek of the new Holiday Mini. WOW!! That's all I can say. I love it. There are so many new initiatives that Stampin Up is embarking on, and I'm excited. The stamp sets, and the papers, and ideas are phenomenal. I can't wait for all of you to get one. Let me know if you want one, and I'll have it mailed to you. Just promise that if you see anything you want, you'll order through me. Your friendly Stampin Up demonstrator.

Well, for those of you that missed last night, and that's everyone except for Anne. You missed out on some great cards that we made.

For this card we used the new Rich Razzleberry In Colour card stock and ink.

The Stamp Set is Happy Everything and the wheel background is Fast Flowers.

This card literally took maximum of 5 minutes to create. It's a fun uplifting card, and with the versatility of the stamp set you can use Happy everything, life, birthday, for you, together, holidays, and days. It's an 8 piece set. Well worth the money. If you're interested in taking a closer look at it, visit page 142 in the new 2009-2010 catalogue. There's a link on the page, or just click Here.

This card I absolutely adore. I had made this very card at Alesha's place on one of my downline meetings. Let me tell you, I love recreating this card. There are so many different colour combos you can use.

Here I used Melon Mambo, and Basic Grey. Both card stock and ink. The stamp set is Flight of the Butterfly. It's a great stamp set, I had a hard time at first finding things to make with it. I visited Splitcoast Stampers website and clicked on the SU Galleries and was able to get great ideas.

The last card is the hardest card that we made, and it took approximately 10-15 mins to make only because of the punch, and the two step stamping we did. But, it was worth every minute. Tell me what you think.

This card uses three more In Colours. We have Dusty Durango, and Soft Suede, the accent colour is Crushed Curry. I must say that I really love all the In colours this year, and have used them all. Not often do I find I can use all the colours.
The stamp set I used is unfortunately a retired hostess set that I earned. It's called Dream a Little. If anyone of my friends or customers want to borrow it, just let me know.

I'm BACK!!!!

Yes it's been a very long time since I last blogged, and for the very few of you that actually check it out, I am soooo sorry. A lot has happened in the last few months, I got married, I almost lost my demonstrator status because I wasn't making any sales, but with the help of my amazing upline Alesha I was able to keep my status.

So, what's new? Lots, can I just tell you that I love the new catalogue, it's amazing. Truly amazing. The new In Colours, are the best that they've ever had in my opinion. I adore Rich Razzleberry, I even love the name. Who ever has that job of making up colours, and then naming them, man I want that job.

So here's a few pieces of information. I don't have a website like some demonstrators have that you can order off of, however if you do order online from http://www.stampinup.com all you need to do to get the preferred member pricing is choose me as your demonstrator. Kristine Romyn, then you won't pay as much.

If you'd like a catalogue please email me kromyn@rogers.com or send me a comment on here and I'd be happy to put you on the list.

Looking forward to updating with new pictures of things we've made lately.

Casing some great cards from Splitcoast Stampers

Hi all, well if anyone knows me I sometimes have mental blocks and can't seem to find the inspiration for a card. I always turn to http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ it is an amazing site, and you can choose to view the Gallery and then view just Stampin Up galleries, which is great. I recently made a few cards that I'd like to share. This one I got from the gallery, I unfortunately don't remember the lady's name, I'm so sorry if you see this. I have a tendency to forget names.

This is made with Old Olive card stock, the stamp set is Embrace Life, there is also Rose Red card stock and ink, and the scallop punch was used on the Chocolate Chip. There are a few silver brads to add a bit of flare. The flowers are dimensioned with a glue dot in the middle of each. I love this one, it was the first one I ever did as per the picture.

This card was made with one of my favourite sets called Simply Said, it's been around for a while so I'm hoping it makes it a little longer. The colours are Gardn Green, Real Red, Basic Black, and White card stock. The ribbon on the original one off of splitcoaststampers was white organza, but I don't have any, so I improvised. not a bad little card. The last heart is raised with a glue dot.

This one I took the sketch and created my own take on it. I used the Baroque Motif stamp set, which I absolutely adore. I love it!! The colours are Real Red, and Basic Black. There is also Versa Mark on the 2 inch real red portion. It's very simple, and at first I didn't like it, but thanks to some great feedback from people, I'm appreciating it more.

Just two more to share with you, I do hope you all like it.
I took this one also from split coast stampers. I sure hope people don't mind, but hey I would love it if someone saw them on here, and said wow I think I could make that. The thing is, you can. You can make anything your heart desires. It's art, and it's what you make of it. This one I used a lot of different retired stamp sets. I made it for my friend Rebecca's baby shower. She is due today, so I'm wondering if she's given birth yet. Last one, which is my favourite one so far.

This one I got the idea from Late Blossom's version. I haven't checked out the rest of her gallery, but if this is any indication, I'm sure I'll be using a few more of her ideas. This is a technique called Rock and Roll. I hadn't tried it before, and Alesha has always told me it's super easy, and beautiful. You can see it better with the Summer Sun, and Pumpkin Pie butterfly, not so much with the Rose Red and Red Riding Hood.
The grass is from a set called Inspired by Nature, when I first got it was so excited, but wasn't sure how to use it, so I'm slowing find ways to use it. I'm not doing too bad.
Well, that's the end of my show and tell. I hope you liked it, got inspired, used what you saw today. If you like it and don't know how to recreate you can always contact me.

It's Here!! The new Spring and Summer 2009 Catalogue

Hello everyone,

Can I tell you how excited I am about the new catalogue, of course I can. It's amazing. There are so many new stamp sets, and the designer papers are gorgeous, plus they have something a bit different this year. Curious of what's new? Give me a call to get your hands on one of the new catalogues.

I would love to have all my customers take a look at the catalogue and find one thing they love, and order it, but if you have more than one thing you love even better. If you see something you love, and have questions please contact me here (phone# and email in top right corner). You can also order online if you wish, but the personal touch is better, so give me a call. I'm looking forward to booking some workshops for you to help you get started on your way to a love of scrapbooking and card making.

Plus there is a new Decor Elements that's amazing. If you want a brochure let me know and I'll mail one to you free of charge. If you would like a catalogue for yourself so you can dog ear those pages that you love, or circle what you already have or what you want they are only $10. Call me or email me and we can setup a time to get you one.

Oh, did I mention the Sale-A-Bration? What is it you ask, well just the greatest thing since microwave popcorn. For every $60 you spend you get to pick a free item out of the sale-a-bration brochure, there's no limit to the amount you can get. If you spend $120 you get 2 items, and the possibilities are endless. You can check out the sale-a-bration brochure on the right hand side, the new catalogue will be available soon. I promise.

Looking forward to hearing from all of you. Cheers, and happy scrapping.
